No update should come without performance tweaks, and Magix has taken the opportunity to optimize the VST engine, which was newly introduced in Sound Forge 13. As before, the audio editor for Windows comes in two sizes: Sound Forge 14 Pro and Sound Forge 14 Pro Suite. Sound Forge Audio Studio 15 is the latest release and is available for both Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. They are also found in the upgraded version of Sound Forge.Less than a year after the release of Sound Forge Pro 13, Magix has updated the software once again. These are features that are found in other audio editors that we reviewed, like Adobe Audition. This audio editor is loaded with a handful of effects and audio editing tools, but it is missing the ability to batch process multiple audio files and the ability to chain multiple plugin effects together. Afterward, the recording still had some faint pops and cracks in the background, but the quality of the audio was improved. Precise tools, innovative editing features, and high-end plug-ins let you create masters for (international) broadcast. Record, edit and restore audio with exceptional audio quality using SOUND FORGE Pro. Using the audio restoration tools found within the audio editor, we were able to remove about 70 percent of the unwanted noise from the audio recording. SOUND FORGE Pro has been the standard in audio editing for artists, producers, sound engineers, and mastering engineers for several generations. Our test audio sample was laced with cracks, hiss and hums over a single voice recording. Sound Forge Audio Studio does not have the extensive audio restoration plugins that Pro Studio boasts, but its basic audio restoration tools do a fair job at removing unwanted noise from bad audio recordings. Outside of the aesthetics and customizability of this sound editing program, we put its audio restoration tools to the test.
